Hi Shivangi,
No, the training is not mandatory, but it is highly
recommended. A lot of the questions come from the same ladies and gentlemen
that write our courseware. Learning objectives for the RealSecure exam can be
found on the ISS web site
(http://www.iss.net/education/certification/iss-cs.php). The exam is 70
questions multiple choice/answer. Candidates have 90 minutes to complete
the exam. A score of 70% is required to pass. Very similar to Check Point
or MS.
There is an FAQ document that addresses most issues
associated with certification at
http://documents.iss.net/education/certification/X-ForceProtCert_FAQ.pdf.
I hope to create some study guides for each exam with
FAQs and sample questions, but that project is probably a couple of months
away.
