Re: [ISSForum] Importing nmap results

That is why I would want to import the nmap results into nessus and IS 7. This is possible in nessus. We just run constant nmaps, and we would like to use the results from those for our vulnerability scans.

Nessus uses the nmap port scanning engine, if you are using both nmap and
nessus you are port scanning twice. Internet Scanner has the nmap
fingerprint database, but personally I have found Internet Scanner to
perform port scans extremely slow.

Subject: [ISSForum] Importing nmap results

Hello,

We are trying to incorperate many different tools into our total scanning solution. We are using ISS, nessus, and nmap. We can incorperate the nmap results into the nessus scan, so that the host is only port scanned the one time. I was wondering if this is possible for ISS (6.2.1 or preferable 7.0), or if anyone has got it working somehow?

Thanks,
