Hi,

Afair SASL support is not compiled into the SuSE binaries. You have to compile 
your own postfix; see the docs in the sources for how to enable it.

Details for configuring Postfix with SASL can be found in the SASL HowTos on 
http://www.postfix.org/docs.html .
