VULNERABILITY SUMMARY:
Microsoft recently released a security vulnerability
patch to Internet Explorer (MS04-025) that prevents
users from logging in to HP Systems Insight Manager.
SUPPORTED SOFTWARE VERSIONS*: ONLY impacted versions are
listed.

BACKGROUND:
Microsoft recently released a security vulnerability
patch to Internet Explorer (MS04-025, documented
in Knowledge Base article KB867801) that changed
the behavior of how IE treats scripting and binary
objects. This creates an issue with HP Systems
Insight Manager with the symptom being the
apparent "hang" of the browser prior to the login
prompts for credentials.
RESOLUTION:
Access the SIM support site at

Select the Download option in the left hand menu
Select the appropriate Version download and install the
softpaq for either:
SIM HP Systems Insight Manager 4.0 SP1 - Windows
