About this conference

This administration will direct billions of dollars through federal and state agencies with the goal of improving America?s ability to detect, respond, recover and reconstitute from terrorist attacks. Many of these improvements will directly assist state and local leaders as they also respond to national disasters and major industrial accidents.

Funding will include pending funds from the First Responder Initiative now before congress. This $3.5 billion dollar initiative will be focused at state and local needs for communications, emergency medical and first responders. America?s 3,000 counties and 18,000 cities all have varying needs and requirements based on infrastructure and threat.
