[MS] Update: Schwachstelle im Terminal Service / RDP-Protokoll - MS01-052

soeben erreichte uns nachfolgendes Update der Warnung des Microsoft
Product Security Notification Service. Wir geben diese Informationen
unveraendert an Sie weiter.
Die erste Version der Patches von 2001 enthalten Fehler, die einem
entfernten Angreifer die Moeglichkeit zu einem Denial of Serice Angriff
geben. Diese Fehler wurden in der aktuellen Version bereinigt.
Zur Erinnerung:
Das Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) ermoeglicht entfernte Terminal
Verbindungen zwischen Klient und Server ueber unsichere Netzwerke.
CAN-2001-0663 - Fehler im Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)
Der Inhalt der RDP Terminal-Verbindung wird zwar verschluesselt, aber
gleichzeitig werden Pruefsummen ueber den Klartext der Verbindung
gebildet. Diese Pruefsummen werden unverschluesselt uebertragen. Ein
Angreifer kann dies zu einen kryptographischen Angriff verwenden, um
den Inhalt der Terminal-Verbindung zu rekonstruieren.
Weiterhin kann ein Angreifer ueber das Netzwerk durch entsprechend
konstuierte Datenpakete einen Denial of Service Angriff gegen den
Server der Terminal-Verbindung starten.
Betroffen ist RDP 5.0 und 5.1 in Windows 2000 und XP. Vom Hersteller
werden ueberarbeitete Pakete zur Verfuegung gestellt.
